Hikari  Keenar Lazuli Fitranto – 2023 Graduate of Pelita Hati Montessori Preschool (TK)

Hikari is my dearest one. She attended Pelita Hati Montessori School at TK B. Just one year, but she learned many things there, with teachers and friends. She enjoyed studying. She started to know her friends and learned to be a social human being. Try her best how to be friendly and remember all her friends’ names. I always asked the teacher how Hikari was in the classroom, and always thanked all the teachers and principal for the lessons. Hikari enjoyed learning and having fun there.

Thank You Pelita Hati.

Michael Adipati Rigel – 2023 Graduate of Pelita Hati Montessori Preschool (TK)

It’s hard to believe that three years have passed since our son Mika began his education at Pelita Hati School. Through ups and downs, he has found happiness in learning. We would like to express our gratitude to the beloved teachers and school.
We are immensely grateful to the dedicated teachers at Pelita Hati School. They have guided Mika in his learning process with patience and love and provided the best for our children. They have been a source of inspiration and strong role models for Mika, and we are thankful for their continuous support in keeping his enthusiasm for learning alive. We hope that Mika will bring honour to Pelita Hati School in the future.

Matthew Evan Santoso – 2023 graduate of Pelita Hati Montessori Junior High School (SMP)

Halo, I am Matthew. I am a 2023 Pelita Hati Junior School graduate. I got transferred here in the 4th grade. My mom took me here and I knew that I would enjoy studying here.
The school environment is pleasant, I met many friends and there were many indoor and outdoor activities such as cooking, performing musical drama, dancing, music, sports, and field trip which involved students of all grades.
The school methods helped me to learn better and improved my grades. The teachers were very supportive, and communicative yet strict so that I could get my best result. I am thankful to be part of Pelita Hati Montessori School.

Lim Jason – 2023 graduate of Pelita Hati Montessori Junior High School (SMP)

I am the parent of Lim Jason, who attended Pelita Hati Montessori School from Elementary level to Junior High. Jason was very happy and has gained a lot of new knowledge during his time at Pelita Hati. The school has made his childhood and teenage years more enjoyable. Here, Jason felt comfortable, starting with teachers who can motivate him to discover his true self, friendly classmates, and facilities that facilitate learning activities. My heart is filled with gratitude seeing

the personal growth and maturity that Jason has achieved at Pelita Hati. There are many beautiful memories that neither I nor Jason will forget. I would like to express my gratitude to Pelita Hati Montessori School teachers and the principal.

BRYAN NIJMAN (Graduated in 2022)

I’m Bryan Nijman, and I studied at Pelita Hati Montesorri School for 6 years.

I have many memories from this school. I also have happy and sad stories. I love this school, the teachers are kind, the students are kind. I also have many friends at this school. The first time I entered this school, I was happy because I would get a higher education. And I’m right, even though the teachers are a little strict, they are also humble, That’s what I am.

EVAN MANGGALA PUTRA (Graduated in 2022)

I started to send my son to Pelita Hati when he was in Kindergarten, until he graduated from 6th grade. That means that my son has been studying in PH for 7 years.

While attending school at Pelita Hati, my son was very happy there. He has good friends, and I can see that they get along well with each other.

In addition, the teachers there are also very kind and patient, very supportive of my child, and other children as well. Even though the children’s abilities are different, all teachers can guide and patiently accompany all of them until they can go to next class.

One thing that I like the most at Pelita Hati, is the kinship between students and parents, which is very good. My son got to know all the students, from grade 1 to those in junior high school. Because I see, in every activity, all children will be involved, from play groups to junior high school. That way, each child can get to know each other.

From the bottom of my heart, I am very grateful for all the support and assistance from all Pelita Hati’s teachers, who have helped my child a lot, from when he was kindergarten until he graduated from elementary school. I really hope that the relationship with the Pelita Hati’s teachers can continue for a long time.

Thank you very much and I pray that Pelita Hati will always be successful and continue to advance, for the Education of the Children of the Indonesian Nation.

RAFA PRASETYA ARIAWAN (Graduated in 2022)

I am the parent of Rafa Prasetya Ariawan. Rafa since PG has attended Pelita Hati Montessori School until finally graduating from elementary school in 2022.

What impressed me in Pelita Hati was the Montessori method. Learning with this method seems easy and still fun, so it is quickly accepted by children. Moreover, the learning process is carried out in small groups, so it is more effective. Rafa, who at the beginning of school did not like reading, writing, arithmetic and was shy about performing, eventually developed his abilities and was more confident to perform in front of many people.

Pelita Hati also has other activities, such as dancing, drawing, pianika, cooking class, cinematography. There are also celebrations of Christmas, Halloween, Chinese New Year and other international days that make the atmosphere at school more colorful.

The teachers are also open to receiving input and answering questions from parents, thus enabling children’s learning development to be even better.

Thank you Pelita Hati for the learning experiences from PG, TK and SD, as well as for her guidance, care and patience in educating Rafa, so that Rafa can continue his education to the next level at SMP Domenico Savio.

Hopefully Pelita Hati will be more successful, producing more and more qualified, creative and intelligent children. God bless.

EVANDER CHRISTO JONATHAN (Graduated in 2021-2022)

Initially, Christo took a trial at several schools of our choice, and we gave Christo the freedom to choose the school he liked and felt comfortable with. Finally, Christo chose Pelita Hati school to study there.

As time went by, we saw a very rapid academic progress in our children in terms of daily life. We occasionally posted some subjects that Christo learned at school, and many of our friends were surprised to see Christo’s progress. By the time Christo graduated from preschool, he could read and write very fluently.

We as parents are very grateful that our children attend Pelita Hati Montessori School and we are even proud that Christo was one of the students there.

We pray that Pelita Hati Montessori School will be more successful in the future.

MEGUMU SEAQUEENA ZENDIKA (Graduated in 2021-2022)

As a parent of Megumi I want to give the best for my child, especially in terms of education.

Before entering Pelita Hati Montessori School (PHMS) Megumi had attended a private school, because at that time the global pandemic of Covid-19 had just started and all schools had to do online and I decided not to send Megumi to school. One year Megumi only studied from a private tutor who came to our

house. But since the following year Megumi wanted to enter a primary school and I noticed that Megumi had to go to school because it was not enough just to learn academic subjects from a private tutor. Besides that, Megumi’s brother had already enrolled previously in PHMS. Paying attention to her brother’s academic progress and the learning materials I got, I finally registered Megumi in PHMS.

After joining to the preschool of PHMS, Megumi quickly became a very independent girl. Previously she was unable to read, soon she could read and count. I think Megumi’s progress was so great that within 1 year that she could learn all lessons well and catch up on the lessons that were left behind 1 year ago. This development made me as a parent very satisfied to send Megumi here. PHMS has good materials and the teachers are patient in delivering them to the children.

Thank you PHMS, more success in the future!

ANGGITA PUTRI DIANDRIANA (Graduated in 2021-2022)

Anggita Putri Diandriana is the eldest of two siblings, of course as the first child we have to learn a lot of new things and when she entered the school age we conducted surveys to many schools because a comfortable and child-friendly education is a priority for us as parents.

Our principle is to involve our child in every decision we made, even for school selection, after trial and error in many schools, we finally chose Pelita Hati Montessori School.

With the Montessori curriculum, Pelita Hati teaches Tata to learn about good character education and learn happily without any pressure, there is even a cooking class that makes children very happy.

The learning pattern is not monotonous, the educational curriculum is very advanced, the playground facilities are adequate, the educational toys are complete, sometimes there is a distribution of snacks from the school.

Also, Teachers teach children patiently and makes us as parents very relieved to send our children to Pelita Hati, the most important thing is that our child is happy to study there.

Thank you Pelita Hati for educating our child well.

LAIRE FREDELLA PENA LASUT (Graduated in 2021-2022)

Previously, Della was a child who was not easy to get close to other people, especially those who had just been known, but since she was in Pelita Hati Preschool Della was easier to socialize with new friends.

She had the ability to think more critically and she had also become smarter. Beside that, she was more independent at home.

Thanks for the guidance from teachers so far.

Stay safe and healthy to teachers and staff.

JEREMY IMMANUEL CHANG (Graduated in 2021)

As the parents, we always have the desire to give the best for our children, including education. We still remember when Jeremy was ~2.5 years and started his early education journey in Pelita Hati Montessory School Semarang.

In the beginning, he always cried, afraid to be left by his mother, until he became a brave, independent boy. He learnt to enjoy the school, learn to socialize, and many unforgettable memories.

In 2021, we had to say goodbye to the school since Jeremy has to follow his father who is being assigned in Middle East.

We enrolled him to One of The Best International School in the country. Even he had to go through some processes through exams and interviews, which was quite foreign for him.

There is 3 category result in this exams : Rejected, Accepted with conditions, or fully Accepted. Praise God that Jeremy was fully accepted.

We give thanks to Pelita Hati Montessory School Semarang for the knowledge, love, patience and guidance, shown sincerely by all teachers during Jeremy’s time as the student.

We can proudly and recommended this school for the parents who have toddlers to prepare for their pre-school educations. Sincerely thanks a lot to Pelita Hati Montessory School and success always!

EMILY SAKURA VERALDA (Graduated in 2021)

First time joining toddler class since Emily was 2 years old, she still has no ability to communicate actively and had rapid progress such as ability to speak up obedience lesson, do house core activities as well shortly

She always happy to have lessons at this school as it adapts Montessori theory which kids always involved directly in any activity and various things which impose self-learning

During 3,5 years old Emily became a brave girl and ready to study at elementary school. Emily’s progress supported by great teachers and learning method which I believe not all preschool can provide the same

Emily took a psychology test for joining elementary school as she will be aged 6 in Oct 2021, and surprisingly her Psychology test result is Grade 1 (Superior kid has IQ between 120-130)

Pelita Hati Montessori School is a Great Toddler and Preschool.

Thank you

LAWRENCIA AUDREY KEISHA LUMENTA (Graduated in 2021)

As a new parent, I definitely want to give everything optimally for my daughter, Audrey. Especially in terms of education. Before I moved to Semarang, I did survey several schools by paying attention to the details of the learning materials. There were 2 schools that I went to and when I had a trial I finally decided to go to PHMS.

The Montessori method taught at PHMS really helps Audrey in her daily and academic life. The teachers who teach are also very experienced and always communicate well with parents about Audrey’s progress in class.

The 2020/2021 school year is a tough school year for Audrey, I as well as the teachers have to adapt to the existing pandemic conditions. At the beginning of having to do online school, Audrey was only given school assignments and work guides from school. But with 2-way communication between teachers and parents, finally the online learning process goes well which takes 2 hours every day.

Audrey is also very independent when doing online learning. Starting from cutting, pasting to writing and reading. So when I have a need and can’t help, I don’t have to worry because the teacher will guide me well and patiently.

As a parent, I am very satisfied to send Audrey here because both offline and online, everything is going well.

Hopefully PHMS will be more successful in the future.

EUGENE OTTO SANTOSO (Graduated in 2021)

Although his age is 3, Eugene can’t speak fluently and can’t focus at lessons which worries us as his parents. Through our friends, they recommend us Pelita Hati School which is famous for its Montessori method. When Eugene joined Pelita Hati at December 2018, we are surprised because Eugene had changed a lot. During 2,5 years in Pelita Hati School Eugene had rapid growth at every aspect, for example he suddenly like to listen people, sing, talk a lot and dancing which encourage us to take Eugene into elementary school in his 5,5 years old.

Thanks to the Montessori methods the Teacher teach to Eugene at Pelita Hati School, now Eugene is well prepared to join elementary school.

Pelita Hati Montessori School is the best Toddler and Preschool in Semarang.

KYOSHO ARTA PRIBADI (Graduated in 2021)

We as parents of Kyosho, including parents who are picky in choosing a school for their children. Likewise with Kyosho, with various considerations that we think can build Kyosho’s character into a better person, so we decided to choose PELITA HATI MONTESSORI SCHOOL. The beginning of our child’s school there, was a difficult start for us as parents. Because Kyosho is a shy child, and at the beginning of his school we were informed by the head of the foundation “Give us 3 months, Kyosho can definitely be independent”. And it’s true with this method, less than 3 months Kyosho who was previously a shy child, has now become a more confident child and a more independent child. Meanwhile, from an academic point of view, now he is extraordinary for his calistung.

Thank you to PELITA HATI Kindergarten with the leadership and all teachers for always supporting Kyosho. And I recommend this school to parents who put their children in kindergarten.

SUCCESS IS ALWAYS FOR PELITA HATI MONTESSORI SCHOOL.

FANUEL LIESTIANTO (Graduated in 2016)

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Pelita Hati school if all this time my child has been guided and cared for very well so that my child Fanuel can gain courage, self-confidence and even really enjoy being at school. Thanks to the patience and kind attention of the teachers and the teaching methods that are easy to understand for children, it is easy for Fanuel to understand the lessons given. I felt happy and safe during Fanuel’s school at Pelita Hati. I love Pelita Hati Montessori School. Thank you soo much.

ARKA PINANDITA (Graduated in 2015)

Each child has a unique personality, which is different from one another. No child is “stupid”, all children must have advantages and have their own privileges. Only sometimes we as parents find it difficult to find.

Starting from the Bunny Group (playgroup) in mid 2012, Arka was officially registered as a student at Pelita Hati. We as parents are very happy because Arka is developing very well, and the most important thing is that Arka is very excited to go to school, meaning that he gets what he needs (as a child) to play and be happy at school. This makes us optimistic that Arka will get the right education at school.

As time went on, we saw Arka getting more advanced, without realizing that he could talk a lot about animals, insects, fruit, vegetables, and say a few words in English and Mandarin. In fact, he began to like watching English-language children’s films on Indovision and understood the contents of his conversations just by listening.

Stepping on Kindergarten B, we were again amazed by its progress. Arka started saying simple sentences in English, which really makes us proud. Especially after Arka can read, write and count, even though we are aware that preschoolers do not need to understand reading, writing, arithmetic.

Studying at Pelita Hati, Arka got what he needed as a child, and he is happy to have his education from the first day of school. Arka gets education not only in the classroom, but also often takes part in “field trips” which are always held periodically, and field trips are events that Arka is very much waiting for.

At home, Arka grew up confident, not shy, easy to listen to advice and easy to communicate. Arka is always proud to talk about her activities at school, her friendship with her friends and her teachers.

We are grateful to God for providing the best education for Arka, we are proud of the way of education at Pelita Hati. We thank the staff and teachers who have given their affection for Arka and made Arka always happy. Hopefully more and more children will receive education according to their “uniqueness and privilege” in Pelita Hati.

RAYYAN RADITYA (Graduated in 2014)

Rayyan is a very active child, so that when he entered the classical playgroup, there were many problems and obstacles. One of the recommendations from the psychologist is that we find a playgroup using the montessori method, and one of the recommendations is in Pelita Hati.

After we did the trial and considered the options available, we chose to place Rayyan in Pelita Hati. At that time Rayyan was 2.5 years old and he still had problems with his verbal skills. When we consulted with the tutors at Pelita Hati, they would help to improve Rayyan’s verbal skills, and in a short time Rayyan had a very significant change in his verbal abilities.

Another advantage is that in English, we are quite surprised about the development of Rayyan’s English skills. Currently, Rayyan is already in grade 1 elementary school, and the lessons he gets in class are already very well prepared when Rayyan attends Pelita Hati, especially in English, Math and Science lessons. We as parents who have entrusted Pelita Hati to educate Rayyan for 4 years are very satisfied and highly recommend Pelita Hati.

AURELL KUNTJORO (Graduated in 2013)

When Aurell was 2 years old, I wanted to send him to school, at that time I didn’t have a clear view of which school was suitable for Aurell. Incidentally, near the house there is a Pelita Hati school using the Montessori learning system.

Initially I participated in the trial which was held at school for 3 days. It turns out that Aurell likes his learning system because he is free to do activities, play, sing, argue, etc., without realizing that he has learned a lot from his activities (learning while playing). In addition, the added value of Pelita Hati’s school is that it is a bilingual system that allows my child to know languages other than Indonesian.

As time goes by, I think Aurell’s development has been very rapid. Aurell can sing and speak English, read, write, count, etc. That’s because the learning system is tailored to the child’s ability to understand lessons without being limited by age.

I am happy to send Aurell to Pelita Hati with its learning system, children can be more independent, have courage in their opinions and have activities. Therefore I have no qualms about sending my second child, Emerson, to Pelita Hati. Pelita Hati is for everyone, especially for my children.

JOSEPHINE CHANDRA (Graduated in 2012)

I am very grateful to Pelita Hati for guiding my daughter Josephine for 3 years.

First came to Pelita Hati, Josephine is 2.5 years old. Still not independent, don’t want to be separated from me and always cry. With the patience of the teachers at Pelita Hati, slowly Josephine learned to be independent from me.

The education provided at Pelita Hati is very complete, starting from singing, brain games, flash cards, sports etc., all tailored to the abilities of each child.

I myself have never had a special course to teach Josephine to read / write and count, let alone to reading and writing and math lessons. All Josephine can from school.

Most effectively for me, the lessons at Pelita Hati are very complete. There is Geography, History, Field-trips, practices of daily life such as ironing clothes, bathing etc.

I highly recommend Pelita Hati for early childhood education because what is taught there is very important for the growth of children in their golden age.

GILBERT DJUHADI (Graduated in 2011)

At first I didn’t intend to send Gilbert to Pelita Hati because I wanted Gilbert to go to Kindergarten X. At the beginning of entering Kindergarten X, Gilbert already showed symptoms that he didn’t like going to school there. I think this symptom is normal, the name is just a new school, there must be a little fuss. But my judgment was wrong, Gilbert was getting more and more rebellious and could not be advised. In short, the homeroom teacher called me and she raised her hand towards Gilbert. I was confused about where my child would go to school. Then came the name Pelita Hati.

When I met a teacher at Pelita Hati and was explained how to deal with a child like Gilbert who was active and couldn’t sit still, I felt comfortable sending Gilbert to school at Pelita Hati. The teachers are very patient, able to control active students without using violence. They can also understand every trait of their students so they know how to deal with them. The school environment is also clean and comfortable. The lessons taught vary according to the age of the child.

Pelita Hati is the best.

FILBERT LIFAUSTIN ARIANTO (Graduated in 2009)

First entering the school Filbert can’t speak yet, can only point, but he knows what we ordered. Whereas in Pelita Hati I see children aged one or two years above their age who are good at dancing, singing, reading poetry in English. At that time in my heart I said: Can my child be like that? Her kids are so smart. It turned out that after 2 weeks Filbert went to school in Pelita Hati, my son could speak, very fussy with his vocabulary, which I wondered how he could know.

Now 4 years have passed, my son has finished studying at Pelita Hati. He got a lot of knowledge. I used to say in my heart whether my child could do it, now everything has been answered. My son can do everything now. From writing, reading, counting, singing, dancing, reading poetry, to knowing the planet, knowing the continent, knowing the flag of the country, and much more. And one more thing that I always remember, my child always says “Fortunately MAMI sent me to Pelita Heart Kindergarten, it’s delicious …” And even if her body is not feeling well, she always wants to go to school. When you come home from school, you don’t want to be picked up quickly. School is a very fun place for my child.

There are no words that we can say except to thank from our deepest hearts to Pelita Hati, and to all the teachers and staff. We always pray that Pelita Hati can progress and develop, and that more children will benefit from it.

LEON JAYAKUSUMA (Graduated in 2008)

Leon: “While at Pelita Hati, I learned many things with great fun. Reading, writing, math and science lessons are very fun because they are done while playing. Here the teachers direct and educate the child at different levels-depending on the child’s abilities.

The way of education in Pelita Hati, which mama said is called the “Montessori System” has been of many benefits to me. My brothers who have studied here have also benefited greatly from the teaching method at Pelita Hati. My brother Edo Jayakusuma is now at SD X.

My brother Henry Jayakusuma, who is currently in grade 4 elementary school, was appointed to represent the Province of Central Java in the selection for the 2008 IMSO National Mathematics Contest. Henry said that if he did not study at Pelita Hati in the past, maybe his performance was not as good as it is now. “

SEAN R HARDJANTO (Graduated in 2008)

Sean was a very quiet boy when he first enrolled in Pelita Hati. We are very glad that he has become an outgoing and inquisitive child now. The school has taught him many basic practical skills like cleaning and washing. He also learnt higher skill required work like sewing, making juice and so on.

As for the academic aspect, Pelita Hati had taught him Mathematics, English, Bahasa Indonesia, Science and some basic Mandarin.

All the materials that he learnt in Pelita Hati gave him a good foundation for his entrance to primary school. Sean did well on his primary school entrance and we credit that to all teachers in Pelita Hati. The Montessori system taught him academic knowledge and behavioral capabilities all in a fun and playful way. We are glad that we chose Pelita Hati.

ANGELA BIANCA BALLHEIMER (Graduated in 2002)

Pelita Hati teaches the children with love. The children enjoy all activities they have. The teachers support them to improve. With Montessori as a basic system for education, we can see that it is effective enough for the children to learn. Success for Pelita Hati and the children who have the opportunity join.

ALEXIS GIGUERE (Graduated in 2002)

It is with pleasure that we enrolled our son to Pelita Hati. After a year, he found friends of many different cultures that all can understand each other and share together, probably better than adults do among them. He also finds an adequate education program that will make him ready for the higher level he will have to attend later here or overseas.

We think that it is a good opportunity that we have found a nice little Montessori school not far from our home in Semarang. Finally, we know that when our son, Alexis, is at school, he is in good hands.

SENO RADYA JAYANARDANA (Graduated in 2001)

We as parents of Radya are very grateful and thankful to Pelita Hati because Radya got a good and right place for education for the development of herself and her soul. In his childhood, Radya developed into an independent, responsible child, and very good at socializing both with peers and with those who are older and adults.

Pelita Hati deserves a thumbs up because it has succeeded in educating children according to individual development, and is very special because it has many teaching aids that other kindergartens do not have, be it sophisticated games, such as computers, or with simple but very educational equipment, with very interesting experiments (science), and other activities such as “Red Day”, “Pajamas Day”, etc.

Once again, thank you to Pelita Hati and its leaders and teachers, and I recommend this school to parents of students who will enroll their children in kindergarten. Bravo Pelita Hati!

NISHANT MEHROTRA (Graduated in 2001)

My son, Nishant, was studying at Pelita Hati for a period of about 16 months and during this period he learnt many basic things such as numbers, addition, subtraction as well as spellings of three letter words in a very playful and effective way. Teachers are so skilled and affectionate there, they also taught the child how to coordinate with other friends and how to share things and many more behavioral matters. Overall it was advantageous for me to send my son there, I’ll be always grateful to the teachers.
